The Twelve Traditions – Our Guiding Principles
Our group is a spiritual entity, and as such, we are guided by the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. These principles ensure that our primary purpose—helping the alcoholic who still suffers—remains our sole focus.
- Unity and Our Common Welfare
Our website serves to provide recovery event information. We believe that personal recovery depends upon A.A. unity; therefore, our online presence is designed to be inclusive and helpful to all who seek it. - Anonymity at the Public Level
In accordance with Tradition Eleven, we maintain “personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, and films” (and by extension, the internet).
We do not use the full names or recognizable photos of any A.A. members on this site.
We ask that visitors respect the privacy of our members when sharing information found here. - Self-Support and Non-Affiliation
Self-Support: In keeping with Tradition Seven, this website is maintained solely through the voluntary contributions of AA members. We do not accept donations from non-members.
Non-Affiliation: This site is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution. While we may provide links to official A.A. resources (like G.S.O. or our local Intergroup), we do not endorse or link to outside commercial ventures. - Primary Purpose
Everything on this site is intended to serve one goal: to reach the alcoholic who still suffers. Whether you are in Monroe, or anywhere else, we are here to provide information about recovery events organized by our group members.
